Childrens Quality Picture Story Books Conveying Virtues, Values and Australian Animals

About Virtue Publications

Virtue Publications is a publishing company dedicated to producing high quality picture storybooks for children. The founders of the company are: Geoff Mirabito (author / qualified primary school teacher), and Jean Richard Anthony (illustrator / qualified graphic designer). The company began in November 2006.

About the Author

Geoff is a qualified primary school teacher with a passion for children’s picture storybooks. His background as a primary school teacher has given him the opportunity to read many storybooks to children. Geoff has himself enjoyed storybooks as a child and he loves to see children enjoying them now.

During his teaching experience, Geoff has had the privilege of teaching virtues as a part of a health unit, but he struggled to find picture storybooks conveying virtues. Geoff felt that such storybooks would have been a great tool to incorporate into his lessons in order to spark interest and discussion.

Since then Geoff has fostered the idea of creating a series of children’s picture storybooks that encourage children to adopt virtues, build character and develop healthy relationships. This idea is now a reality with this first book, Charlie the Cranky Crocodile, ready for distribution.

About the Illustrator

Jean is a qualified graphic designer who has done a brilliant job illustrating and designing this first storybook. He has had extensive experience with intense designing, creativity and dealing directly with clients in a highly professional environment.

Jean has also been involved in marketing and direct sales in designing his own surfing product, as well as other products. He has a very keen desire to succeed in the field of Graphic Design and illustrations, and his great talent has won him several drawing and logo competitions.

The amazingly bright and colourful illustrations that can be seen in Charlie the Cranky Crocodile have been created using ordinary coloured pencils and an ordinary black pen. Jean hopes to encourage children to realise that, with some creativity, they too can produce magical illustrations with ordinary pencils.

Aussie Animal Series

Our aim in the Aussie animals series is to convey virtues in each storybook. Each book emphasizes a different virtue. This is done in an interesting and naturally flowing way. We want the children to feel inspired and encouraged.

We strive to create interesting stories with vibrant and captivating illustrations. Australian animals are the main characters in this series. We believe these books are not only entertaining, but also helpful in promoting healthy relationships and character building.
